Personalized Thoreau “Fishing” Plaque

This plaque was really fun for me to make. I received a call from a client wanting
to by my Thoreau fishing plaque shown on the website. He stated that he had been
looking for that quote for a long time. He went on to explain that I did not have
the plaque quite right! I inquired about what could be wrong with it and he informed
me that he was a fly fisherman and didn’t just drag a line in the water but rather
cast a line. He further explained that no self-respecting fly fisherman would cast
under a tree! Well I was in the process of shipping his plaque when I thought, “Well
it could be a fly fisherman.” I wanted the plaque to be perfect and fit the
customer’s vision. So I altered the plaque to be more suitable to a fly fisherman.
There was no additional charge for this.

This personalized plaque reads:
“Many men go fishing their entire lives without knowing it is not fish they are
after.”

My happy customer says:
“The plaque is perfect! You should really contact the fly fishing magazines and
advertise these for fly fisherman!”
